  • Guest Speakers: I will bring in guest speakers throughout the week to discuss with students the current post-secondary education and careers available for coding.  Speakers include:

    • NEW: Cooper High School has won a chat with Hearsay Social creator Clara Shih!  Sign-up is limited to space, preference going to AP Students, then by grade-level.

  • Coding at Longbranch:  This year, our AP Computer Science classes will be taking coding to the Elementary School!  The 4th grade students will get to experience coding and the joy of making the computer work for you.
  • Google Code-in: Google Code-in is open to students aged 13 - 17 to get experience with open source software development.  Starting December 1, a series of tasks will be presented.  Students can get points for completing tasks and will earn prizes for the number of points they have earned.  See the link for more information: Google Code-in information

Signup to join the Hour of Code Event at Cooper High School!

When: December 10th, during FLEX

Who: First 120 students to sign-up
          (Registration ends December 8th)

What: Students will be introduced to the world of computer programming with a tutorial that creates your own mobile game!  

Students participating will be entered into a drawing for wonderful prizes!
